About the Role
We are a busy, fast‑paced spraying specialist looking for a reliable and proactive Factory Operative to join our production team. You will play a key role in the preparation stage – masking and cleaning frames and products to the highest standard before they move into our professional spray booths. This is hands‑on bench and shop‑floor work in a lively, target‑driven environment where efficiency, accuracy and the ability to think on your feet are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately masking uPVC window and door frames using tapes, films and plugs to protect areas not being sprayed
- Thorough cleaning and preparation of frames (removing dust, grease, silicone and manufacturing residues)
- Working at benches and on the shop floor to prepare multiple frames to tight daily targets
- Inspecting frames for quality and reporting any defects or damage
- Maintaining a clean and organised workstation in a busy production area
- Following health & safety procedures at all times, especially when working with solvents and at pace
- Supporting the wider team during busy periods and helping with other production tasks when required
Person Specification – Essential
- Must have full driving licence
- Previous bench work or tool work experience (e.g. assembly, fabrication, joinery, maintenance, or similar hands‑on roles)
- Ability to think on the move and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced, busy shop‑floor environment
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and able to maintain consistent quality under pressure
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of health & safety in a factory setting
