Dirac is building the next Walmart-sized retail company ($790.09bn to be precise) and we are looking for a finance and operations hire to work alongside myself to take us to series A and beyond.
A great candidate looks like:
- Analytical (maths/physics/PPE/econ background).
- Can code or is willing to learn.
- Experience in financial modelling, ideally in retail and/or startups.
- Willing to get their hands dirty (e.g., understanding SKU sell-through dynamics, stock takes, etc.).
Example tasks include:
- Building our cash flow model and forecasts.
- Optimising purchase and shipping decisions.
- Financial wargaming (e.g., effects of different tariff rates).
- Building monthly management accounts.
- Being a financial team of (nearly-)one: reconciliation (with the operations team helping), stock takes, asset count, inventory financing.
- Planning (e.g., for setting up d2c warehouses in America).
Bonus points if:
