Drive the Sell-in Diptyque Wholesale business in close collaboration with Demand Planner, Wholesale Manager, and Client Services, focusing on forecast accuracy and analysis. The role also manages assortment for wholesale clients. The Wholesale Sell-in Manager is responsible for analysis and reporting of all wholesale data to ensure internal stakeholders have the right information to make key business decisions. As a key Brand Ambassador, ensure that all standards are met in sales, service, and visual identity to position Diptyque as a true luxury brand.
Main Purpose and Scope of the Job
Drive the Sell-in Diptyque Wholesale business in close collaboration with Demand Planner, Wholesale Manager, and Client Services with a focus on forecast accuracy and analysis. The role also manages assortment for our wholesale clients. The Wholesale Sell-in Manager is fully responsible for analysis and reporting of all wholesale data to ensure internal stakeholders have the right information to make key business decisions. As a key Brand Ambassador, ensure that all standards are met across sales, service, and visual identity, ensuring Diptyque’s positioning as a true luxury brand.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Sell-in / Account Management
- In charge of achieving sell-in and net sales objectives
- Manage sell-in across all wholesale locations
- Identify and pursue business opportunities within existing accounts by maximizing open-to-buy of retailers and identifying new opportunities
- Monitor and analyze each retailer’s promotional and marketing calendar and its impact on business and brand
- Monitor incoming orders and ensure they are fulfilled effectively (with supply chain)
- Help manage and update sales forecasts with Demand Planner and FP&A
- Update and maintain optimized assortment for each retailer
- Update and analyze inventory levels by retailer and help optimize impact on net sales
- Input with Demand Planner on forecast for newness and support allocation negotiations and communications with retailers
- Monitor and help track inventory levels for each account to optimize forecast and sales
- Maintain sales and ranking tracking tools, weekly and monthly
- Stay up to date with product knowledge, delivery dates and other relevant information to ensure customers and their systems are fully informed
- Reporting and Analysis
- Input data into reporting files
- Reconcile all retailer reports onto Metadata
- Track and analyze sales performance and account activity (promotional calendar, etc.)
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for management
- Hold monthly calls with Merchandising teams to track action plans and follow-ups
- Keep track of wholesale planning and marketing activities per client and location
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Understand client needs, objectives, and strategies (newness allocation, inventory restriction, systems changes and capabilities, etc.)
- Proactively address client concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Regularly communicate with clients to build rapport and stay informed of their needs
- Attend regular meetings with key retailer contacts
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Wholesale Sales Manager to ensure smooth execution of projects and strategies
- In collaboration with Finance, input and drive initiatives to achieve profitability by account and assist with chasing and following up on client late payments
- In collaboration with Stock and Logistics to maximize order fulfillment and OTB
- In collaboration with Marketing, provide input and follow up on trade marketing / PR plans for all accounts
- In collaboration with VM Manager and Sales Manager, maintain and advise on the best assortment by store/account
