At DiPOLE Systems, we’re developing next-generation high-power laser systems for advanced manufacturing, energy and defence applications. Following our recent seed round, we’re expanding our engineering team as we scale from prototype systems to deployable products. We’re looking for an experienced Optical Design Engineer to lead optical architecture development across advanced laser systems — from concept and modelling through to build, test and manufacture.
What you’ll do:
- Lead optical system design and optimisation
- Perform stray light, ghost and aberration analysis
- Work closely with mechanical engineers and scientists on integrated systems
- Help transition cutting‑edge lab systems into manufacturable products
- Influence technical direction in a fast‑moving deep‑tech environment
What we’re looking for:
- Expertise in geometric and physical optics
- Experience with tolerancing, optimisation and prototype‑to‑product development
