You’ll be finding businesses that haven’t heard of us yet and convincing them they need us. Your primary focus is new logo acquisition, and you’ll nurture each new client through their first year to make sure they’re set up for success. After that, accounts transition to our client account team so you can keep your focus on growth.
The science behind what we sell is genuinely compelling. Diphoterine® solution and Hexafluorine® solution, our two flagship products, work by actively removing hazardous chemicals from tissue, rather than just diluting them with water. It’s faster, more effective, and in many cases the difference between a minor incident and a life-changing injury. When you understand it properly, it sells itself.
You’ll work with Health & Safety Managers, Operations Directors, and Occupational Health Teams across industries like pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food production, utilities, and laboratory science and many others. You won’t need a traditional sales background to do this well. You will need to be someone who understands (or is excited to learn) the science, and who can build genuine trust with technical professionals.
You’ll be allocated a Territory to focus your efforts within. Preference will be given to applicants residing in Scotland, the Midlands, and the South West of England.
A bit about us: Diphex is the UK’s leading specialist in active chemical first aid. We’re the exclusive UK distributor of the entire Prevor™ range — Diphoterine®, Hexafluorine®, and our environmental spill products. We have 2,500+ clients, 30,000+ people trained, a 9.8/10 satisfaction score, and Triple ISO Certification. We’re not a big corporate. We’re a tight, expert team that genuinely cares about what we do. Our clients buy from us because we take the time to understand their site, their hazards, and their people. That’s the culture you’d be joining.
The money — transparently: We know this is important, so here’s exactly what’s on the table:
- Base salary: £40,000
- Commission: Earned on the first self-generated order and any subsequent orders in the first 12 months
- Realistic year 1+ earnings: £55,000+ for a solid performer
- Bonus: Additional bonus scheme depending on eligibility and overall company performance
- Car allowance: £3,600 per year
- Mileage: 45p/mile up to 10,000 miles, 25p/mile thereafter
- Pension: 3% contributory
- Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
Commission is earned on the first order from every client you self-generate and on any subsequent orders they place within their first 12 months. It’s uncapped on all self-generated new logo acquisition business; the harder you hunt, the more you earn.
What you’ll actually do:
- Find the right prospects
- Research and identify organisations across your patch that work with irritant and corrosive chemicals
- Use LinkedIn, industry databases, events and your own initiative to build a real pipeline
- Work through historic leads in our database to resurrect and qualify dormant opportunities
- Turn up to networking events and trade shows representing us with confidence
- Win new clients
- Visit sites, ask good questions, and properly understand each prospect’s chemical hazard profile
- Deliver clear, compelling product demos and presentations, including live pH demonstrations of Diphoterine® solution and Hexafluorine® solution
- Make the science accessible, help decision-makers understand why active decontamination isn’t just better than water, it’s in a different category entirely
- Put together site surveys and quotes, negotiate, and close new business
- Hit (and beat) your new logo targets
- Set new clients up properly
- Support new clients through onboarding: presentations, site surveys, and product training for their teams
- Be the kind of person clients are glad they said yes to
- Stay organised
- Keep your CRM accurate and up to date after every interaction
- Manage your pipeline actively; know your numbers
- Plan your diary and travel intelligently to maximise time in front of the right people
Who we’re looking for:
The things that really matter:
- You must be a hunter by nature, you get energy from the chase, not from maintaining the status quo
- You have a science, medical, healthcare, nursing, pharmacy or chemistry background, or you’re genuinely fascinated by it. This isn’t essential but it’s a real edge in this role
- You can build trust with smart, technically-minded people. You’re credible, not pushy
- You’re self-directed, you don’t need someone checking in on you to stay focused
- You communicate clearly and confidently, whether in person, on the phone, or over email, you know how to land a message.
- You’ll also need to be comfortable standing in front of a room and delivering engaging, practical training. Our products are only part of the solution; customers need to feel confident using them when it matters most. That confidence comes from you.
- You’re curious. You ask questions, you want to understand things properly, and you don’t switch off when the conversation gets technical
The non-negotiables:
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Happy to be on the road, up to 3 nights away from home per week. Expenses paid
- Comfortable working independently from home when not in the field
Good to have, not required:
- Previous B2B field sales experience (2 years preferred, but not a dealbreaker)
- Experience selling into health & safety, occupational health, manufacturing or lab environments
- Knowledge of COSHH, chemical risk assessment, or first aid compliance
Training — we take it seriously: You won’t be handed a price list and told to get on with it. Your induction includes:
- Structured product training at our head office in Harrietsham, Kent
- Time at the Prevor™ facility in France, where you’ll see the science first-hand and come back genuinely an expert
- Ongoing CPD and development as the role and business evolves
- Real career progression as we grow, we promote from within
Why this role, why Diphex:
- The product works. You’ll never have to oversell something you don’t believe in
- The earnings are real, commission is paid on the first self-generated order and any subsequent orders in the first 12 months, and is genuinely uncapped on self-generated new logo acquisition business
- The mission matters. Chemical burns are preventable. You’ll be part of making that happen
- The team is small enough that your contribution is visible and valued
- You’ll get proper training, not just a product sheet and good luck
