As part of our web team, you’ll work closely with our Lead Developer and Head of Design to build, optimise and support high-performing Shopify stores for a wide range of clients – from fast-growing DTC brands to established B2B and household names.

This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and from either our Hull or Leeds office.

What you’ll do

  • Build Shopify themes from start to finish.
  • Support and maintain live Shopify builds.
  • Work closely with designers to deliver high-performing, conversion-focused storefronts.
  • Liaise directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Manage your own workload with no micromanagement.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues and technical challenges.
  • Continuously learn and test new Shopify features, tools and technologies.

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years’ experience in Shopify custom theme development.
  • Experience working on high-turnover ecommerce websites.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem, including Shopify CLI and the Liquid templating language.
  • Working knowledge of databases such as Mongo DB or Postgre SQL.
  • Strong version control skills using Git and Shopify CLI workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and when liaising directly with clients.
  • Nice to have: experience with PHP, Word Press or Laravel.
