Rochester Catholic Schools is seeking a Teacher who will report to the Principal and provide work direction to paraprofessionals and volunteers. The position is full-time for 10 months, requiring scheduling flexibility.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To develop materials and lesson plans; conduct instruction; regularly evaluate instructional materials for grade appropriateness; and continually assess student development and performance. Regular communication with parents, guardians, and students is essential to ensure a clear understanding of student performance.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform the job in accordance with moral, ethical, legal, and financial standards.
- Maintain professional standards of confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain collaborative work relationships.

- Planning: Design and implement a curriculum plan according to Minnesota state standards.
- Performing: Instruct students using best teaching practices and establish positive relationships.
- Evaluating: Regularly assess and evaluate teaching practices and student progress.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and improve professional competence through staff development activities.
- Attend required meetings and comply with policies and procedures.
- Meet all Safe Environment requirements.
- Maintain active membership in appropriate professional associations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Appropriate State licensure preferred.
- Must complete VIRTUS Training and adhere to guidelines.
- Ability to plan, organize, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to foster and maintain appropriate boundaries.
- Exhibit promptness and dependability.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to move throughout the buildings and lift items up to 25 lbs.
- Participate in occasional evening and/or weekend responsibilities.
