We are the Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster, a faith-based charity, home to the Archbishop of Westminster (Cardinal Vincent Nichols) and our beautiful Westminster Cathedral. We are now looking for an Outreach Worker to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week.

The Role

As an Outreach Worker, you will support and develop youth ministry across the Diocese. You will help young people grow in faith and community through parish engagement, leadership development, and diocesan events. Working closely with the Youth Ministry Outreach Manager, you’ll empower parishes to build sustainable youth ministries, mentor and support youth leaders, and help design and deliver training programmes for volunteers and young leaders.

Additionally, you will:

  • Lead and co-ordinate day retreats, catechesis initiatives, and wider diocesan youth events
  • Travel regularly to parishes to support local youth engagement
  • Evaluate and improve training resources and outreach initiatives

About You

To be considered as an Outreach Worker, you will need:

  • Experience developing and delivering youth ministry programmes and events
  • Experience leading retreats, catechesis, and parish-based youth work
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding, Catholic teaching, and youth ministry networks
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
