We are seeking a reliable and conscientious Parish Centre Cleaner/Caretaker to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception and St Joseph Parish Centre in Waltham Cross. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and is committed to providing high standards of cleanliness and presentation across our parish facilities.

About the Role

Working closely with the Parish Priest, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Parish Centre and associated areas, as well as undertaking minor maintenance and repair duties where required. The Parish Centre includes:

  • Main Hall
  • Meeting Room
  • Lobby and entrance areas
  • Toilet facilities
  • Sacristy, Crying Room and Parish Offices

Duties will include:

  • General cleaning of all parish centre areas
  • Servicing toilets and replenishing consumables
  • Cleaning kitchens and undertaking periodic deep cleaning
  • Cleaning windows, doors, skirting boards and high surfaces on a rotational basis
  • Monitoring and ordering cleaning supplies
  • Undertaking minor maintenance tasks in consultation with the Parish Priest
  • Supporting the upkeep of a welcoming environment for parishioners, visitors and hirers

  • Previous cleaning or caretaking experience
  • Organised and able to manage your workload effectively
