We are now looking for a Choral Director to join us on a part-time, fixed-term basis, working 15 hours per week on a 12-month contract, based in London, SW1P with travel throughout the Diocese, with a particular focus on Hertfordshire. As a Choral Director, you will lead the delivery of the National Schools Singing Programme (NSSP) across the Diocese of Westminster. Specifically, you will deliver in-class singing sessions and assemblies, develop after-school choirs, and encourage pupil participation in liturgical music. You will identify schools and parishes to benefit from the programme and build strong relationships to ensure its success. You will also provide local continuing professional development (CPD) for teachers to boost their confidence in leading singing and contribute to the broader development of the Diocese’s vision for liturgical music. - Support schools in preparing pupils for worship
- Foster links between schools and parishes
- Co-ordinate music provision for collective worship

About You
To be considered as a Choral Director, you will need:
- Proven experience directing choirs and working with young singers
- Knowledge of sacred and secular choral music
- Knowledge of IT and music notation software
- Effective choral direction techniques and warm-ups
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confidence in managing varied responsibilities across multiple sites
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A full, driving licence and willingness to travel across the Diocese
