Job Description
The Diocese of St Albans is seeking a Schools and Parishes Partnership Officer to join its Board of Education, supporting schools and parishes to:
- Strengthen collective worship
- Nurture young disciples
- Develop Pupil Leaders of Worship
- Build a network of volunteer chaplains across the Diocese
This role offers a competitive salary in the range of £43,000 - £46,000 per annum FTE (pro-rata for this 0.8 role). The position is based in St Albans with hybrid working arrangements.
The contract is fixed-term for 3 years. It is part-time (0.8 FTE), requiring 28 hours per week, primarily during term time with flexible working options.
Essential Requirements
- Experience of working within schools
- Commitment to promoting educational excellence within a Christian environment
- Ability to build strong partnerships between schools and parishes
- Experience delivering training, projects, or educational initiatives
- Understanding of and commitment to the Christian ethos and mission of the Church
