Are you passionate about pioneering mission and evangelism? The Diocese of Exeter is seeking a dynamic leader to join our Mission and Ministry team. In this vital role, you will work with our partners, CMS and the Church Army, to guide the training to help equip and support new lay leaders of evangelism and pioneer mission. With the aim of supporting their work in launching new fresh expressions of church and worshipping communities across Devon.
You will guide and care for the training pathways, facilitate communities of practice, and manage our Mustard Seed grants to fuel new initiatives. If you have a heart to see new ministries flourish and are passionate about pioneer ministry and evangelism then why not join us to help people Pray, Grow, and Serve with Joy. This is a new role which will play a key part in helping deliver our Pray, Grow, Serve 2035 missional goals. It is funded by a grant from the Church of England’s Innovation Fund.
The Diocese of Exeter is currently operating a hybrid pattern of office‑ and home‑based working; the normal place of work will be our diocesan offices, combined with some home working. There is the expectation of occasional travel throughout the county of Devon, including some evenings and at weekends.
Interviews will be held on 17 March 2026. For an informal conversation about this role please contact Rev’d Jeremy Putnam, Diocese of Exeter Mission Enabler.
