Could you help shape the spiritual life of a brand-new community?

The Diocese of Ely is seeking a full-time, incumbent-level priest to pioneer Christian community in Waterbeach New Town, a development on the site of the former Waterbeach barracks and airfield in the north of Waterbeach.

You will:

  • pioneer new forms of church, worship and community;
  • build relationships with residents, developers and community partners;
  • work alongside St John the Evangelist, Waterbeach, rooted in the sacramental life of the parish;
  • help shape the Diocese’s wider approach to mission and community development.

You will be part of a supportive parish team – a pioneer, but not a lone ranger.

A rare opportunity to help shape a new community from the beginning – and to discover what church might become in a new place.

Come and help shape Waterbeach New Town.
