Key PurposeTo take responsibility for the education and welfare of a designated class of children in accordance with the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document, Teacher Standards and having due regard to the requirements of the National Curriculum and school policies.
Main Activities- Have KS2 teaching experience.
- Have a shared responsibility for the planning, teaching and assessment of core subjects: maths, English (writing), reading and spelling.
- The role also includes a shared subject leadership responsibility for maths which includes working with Origin Maths Hub to implement a new maths curriculum.
- Maintain assessment records and report on pupils’ progress to senior staff and to parents and carers, in accordance with school policy.
- Engaging, with a genuine passion for working with children, demonstrating the ability to provide care in a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment.
