We require a Trainee Store Manager for a leading supplier of self-storage in the UK to work stores in the Berkshire and Surrey areas. You will be responsible for maximising growth and profitability with the store team, marketing and selling storage space whilst ensuring a safe working environment.

Hours:
- Full-time, 40 hours a week maximum
- 5 days a week in store
- Rota schedule, occasional weekend required
- Usually 8 hour shifts
- Hours vary between 7.30/8am and 6pm
Trainee Store Manager Duties include:
- Travel to local stores across Berkshire and Surrey to develop and cover as required
- Promote rentals of storage units and other options available
- Help manage small teams and carry out personal development meetings
- Ensure a Marketing Plan is in place to achieve the store financial targets
- Respond to phone and email enquiries and accurately record all enquiries
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Monitor and improve conversion rates and mystery shop scores of all staff
- Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and up to date
- Identify opportunities for increasing storage occupancy and revenue
- Maintain company standards of housekeeping, ensuring a professional image
- Motivate, coach and support others to achieve their highest potential
- Flexibility to travel to stores is essential, all stores are easily commutable. A clean driving license is desirable.
What we’re looking for:
- Existing management or supervisory experience is essential
- Backgrounds such as Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Retail Manager, Branch Manager, Team Leader or Supervisor (self-storage or similar environments highly beneficial)
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Confident leading, motivating and developing others
- Flexibility to travel between stores (all locations are easily commutable)
- A clean driving licence is desirable
