Alive and Well is an independent gym, based on Birchwood Park – the North West’s leading out of town business park. It plays an important role in Birchwood Park’s ExpectMore customer promise and is a key part of the unique range of Parklife experiences and amenities offered to help retain the 165 companies based on the park and attract new companies to move to the Park.
As a PT at Alive & Well, you will create a fantastic experience full of energy and enthusiasm for our members. You will help members of all ages & abilities with their health & fitness needs, from new gym users to rehabilitation, over 65s, and those looking to push themselves further. You will ensure members get more than they expect from their gym membership and maintain regular check-ins.
Your role includes delivering engaging inductions, designing and delivering PT sessions to help members achieve their goals, and maintaining a safe, vibrant, and clean environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maximize members and guests’ experience through inductions, PT sessions, classes, gym floor cover, reception duties, and shift checks.
- Support sales and retention of memberships via excellent customer service and relationship-building.
- Assist with reception duties, including member greetings, calls, inquiries, bookings, payments, and maintaining professionalism.
- Sell and process memberships and renewals, provide information on options, and support retention efforts.
- Support the Gym Supervisor to ensure a top-quality experience across all areas.
- Handle member feedback appropriately and escalate as needed.
- Contribute to communications channels, including social media.
- Stay updated on fitness trends and share knowledge with the team.
- Be a key holder, covering shifts as required.
- Support event and fundraising activities.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
Qualifications – Required
- Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (REPs or CIMSPA registered).
- Level 2 Fitness Instructor certification with group exercise experience.
- Ability to deliver classes such as Pilates, Spinning, HIIT, Tabata, Dance.
- Emergency First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in a gym setting.
