Job Description
As a Wok Chef at Din Tai Fung UK, you will play a crucial role in supporting our back‑kitchen team and ensuring smooth service. Your main responsibilities include:
- Prepare, cook, and serve high‑quality wok dishes, noodle dishes, and appetizers.
- Operate your chef station with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, stock rotation, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Train and support junior kitchen team members.
- Work collaboratively with a team of passionate chefs during busy services.
- Ensure consistency, portion control, and fast service in a high‑volume kitchen.
Who You Are
- Previously worked as a Chef de Partie, Wok Chef, Noodle Chef, or Commis Chef.
- Have experience in an Asian kitchen, Taiwanese restaurant, Chinese restaurant, or pan‑Asian cuisine.
- Understand traditional Chinese cooking techniques such as wok hei and noodle pulling.
- Have strong knife skills, excellent prep technique, and kitchen discipline.
- Are motivated, reliable, and looking for a long‑term chef career with us.
- Have flexible availability to work full time, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with shifts that may run as late as 10:30 PM.
