Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce signature products including
- Xiao Long Bao ,
- Steamed Buns ,
- Shao Mai , and
Jiao Zi .
- Create high‑quality desserts while maintaining consistency, presentation, and attention to detail.
- Prepare doughs, fillings, and other ingredients following Din Tai Fung’s specialist methods.
- Work as part of a supportive kitchen team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared with precision, care, and in line with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Develop specialist techniques in dough preparation, filling production, and dessert creation, following Din Tai Fung’s unique methods and standards.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Pastry Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or in a similar kitchen role.
- Experience with pastry, dough, desserts, or food preparation techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for producing high‑quality products.
- Experience in Asian cuisine or dim sum production (desirable, but not essential).
- Eager to learn and develop culinary skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexible to work a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, with some shifts finishing at 10:30 PM.
