As a Barback / Drinks Runner at Din Tai Fung UK, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bar team, ensuring smooth service and maintaining a high level of organisation. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Restock and maintain bar supplies, ensuring everything is ready for service
- Keep the bar area clean and organised during service
- Assist bartenders by preparing drinks, serving beverages, and meeting guest needs
- Ensure all bar tools, glassware, and garnishes are well-stocked and readily available
- Support the team to ensure efficient and smooth service during busy periods
Who You Are
We are looking for a Barback / Drinks Runner who is enthusiastic, hardworking, and thrives in a dynamic and busy environment. Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Barback, Bar Assistant or front-of-house role in a fast-paced bar, restaurant or hospitality environment, although we are happy to train enthusiastic newcomers!
- A friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding guest experiences
- The ability to stay calm, composed, and adaptable under pressure, while maintaining efficient service and ensuring smooth operations in a busy and high-energy setting
- A keen interest in building a career in hospitality, with a strong passion for learning and developing your skills
- Flexible availability to work full time, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with shifts that may run as late as 11:30 PM
What We Offer
- Competitive Pay: Hourly rates start at £15 (including troncs), rising to £16~£17 once qualified
- Working Week: Rota basis throughout Monday to Sunday; night shifts may run as late as 11:30 PM
- Contracted Hours: Part time for 20 hours per week
- Location: Hiring for Central London (Covent Garden, Centre Point, Selfridges and Canary Wharf)
