The firm is seeking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor to join its Litigation team.

As an experienced litigator, you will take responsibility for managing your own diverse caseload, covering small claims track, fast-track, and multi-track civil litigation matters, including but not limited to Personal Injury, Vehicle Damage, and Housing Disrepair. You will be responsible for assessing and resolving liability issues, as well as pursuing settlement through the courts when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and progress your own caseload effectively.
  • Quantify claims and achieve amicable settlements.
  • Maximise costs recovery.
  • Draft Letters Before Action on all matters.
  • Draft Court Proceedings and Particulars of Claim.
  • Issue Court Proceedings and obtain judgments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and relevant institutions.
  • Assess expert evidence and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Confidently address and resolve any technical arguments raised.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Must be a Qualified Solicitor.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ litigation experience (essential).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a confident telephone manner.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and remain self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of client care.
  • Capable of working independently.
  • Full compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct.
