Help people reach their full potential at Dimensions. You’ll support autistic people and adults with learning disabilities to develop life skills, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful relationships. Backed by a culture that
values wellbeing, career development, and recognition, you’ll benefit from peer‑to‑peer learning and personalised coaching – making this more than a job, it’s a career with purpose.
The people we support have fabulous personalities! Some are social butterflies who like the finer things in life, and others much prefer their own company and quiet walks in the countryside.
One lady loves watching her soaps and likes to call them “the farm and the pub” which we think is very accurate – I’m sure you’ll agree! Another lady enjoys playing cards and dominoes and has no shortage of awesome stories to tell. She has a fantastic, sarcastic sense of humour and knows every pub in Sheffield! One of the men we support is a true gentleman who will greet you with a salute “good morning”. He’s an avid boxing fan and loves being out of the house, so once you’re out for the day, you’re out for the day!
There are varying degrees of independence in both homes so the exact level of support you’ll be providing will depend on the person/people you’re matched to, but it is likely to include personal care, meal preparation, feeding, medication administration, and domestic tasks including cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Some of the people we support are wheelchair users and have use of a hoist. Full training and support will be provided.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with great values and confidence, who are willing to join a team that supports people to achieve really great outcomes and have a really good quality of life!
Shifts are mornings 7 am – 2 pm, afternoons 2 pm – 9 pm, all day 7 am – 9 pm
Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. In this context, \”gender\” refers to the sex legally assigned to an individual.
Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are accredited by the Great Places To Work programme in 2025 – now 7 years in a row!
Applications will be shortlisted on receipt and interviews will be held until the posts are filled
