Support Worker – Female

Full-time – 37.5 hrs a week; sleep ins required

About the role

We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team, providing one-to-one support for a woman with a learning disability and autism.

This is a complex and rewarding role where consistency, patience and understanding are essential. The lady you will be supporting can experience behaviours of distress, so your role will be to offer calm, reassuring and consistent support—helping her feel safe, understood and in control of her day.

She is a vibrant, sociable and fun-loving woman who thrives when she is active and involved in the world around her. She enjoys familiar routines and meaningful connections, particularly when out in the community.

You’ll play an important role in supporting her to continue enjoying these activities, building her confidence, and helping her live a fulfilling and meaningful life.

This role would suit someone who is calm under pressure, reliable, and able to build trusting relationships while maintaining clear boundaries and structure.

The support you’ll be providing is likely to include personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and domestic tasks including cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Full training and support will be provided.

Shift patterns

The shift patterns are 10am–10pm sleep in until 10am next day, or 3pm–10pm sleep in until 10am next day, or 6pm–10pm sleep in until 10am next day. Single person service. A good level of flexibility is required.
