FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

At Dimensions, you can bring your whole self to work – and be celebrated for it. As a Support Worker in Sheffield, you’ll belong to a team built on respect, kindness, and genuine care. We listen, learn, and grow together, creating a workplace where everyone feels supported and included. Recognised as a Great Place to Work for seven years running, we’ll give you the tools, training, and encouragement you need to thrive – and help others do the same.

We’re looking for confident and reliable support workers to work with a young woman in her 20s who will be moving into her first adult home and is focused on building her independence.

Your role will be to motivate and encourage her to maintain her tenancy, manage her medication safely, keep on top of her weekly budget, and support with daily living tasks such as cooking and cleaning. The lady can struggle around self-image and disordered eating which may lead to self injurious behaviour so experience in this area is desirable but not essential as full comprehensive training will be provided. She can sometimes find it hard to understand her own emotions due to complex trauma, so you’ll need to be calm, patient, and able to follow her support plans closely whilst ensuring interpersonal boundaries are protected.

A confident and consistent approach is key. This isn’t about doing things for her — it’s about supporting her to make her own decisions and develop her skills whilst sensitively supporting with her self esteem.

We are looking for people who are flexible working a combination of shifts on a rota basis, including weekends. Shifts patterns will vary from 8.00am till 20.00pm then waking nights are required from 20.00pm till 8.00am there are also afternoon shifts 15.00pm – 23.00pm so they do vary from time to time.

Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are accredited by the Great Places To Work programme in 2025– now 7years in a row!

Applications will be shortlisted on receipt and interviews will be held until the posts are filled
