About the Role
With Christmas just around the corner, we’re looking for a caring individual to provide 1:1 support to a wonderful young man in his mid-20s. He’s already put up his decorations and is embracing the season with joy, while proudly building his independence, from washing up after dinner to changing his own bed sheets. He lives in a cosy home on a quiet cul‑de‑sac, complete with a small garden and free parking. Social and fun‑loving, he enjoys chatting about music, soaps, and pop culture, and could happily hold a conversation for hours. His interests include trips to the cinema, meals out, bowling, and swimming. While you don’t need expert swimming skills, you’ll join him in the water for his swim sessions. Maintaining strong relationships with family and friends is also important to him, and you’ll play a key role in supporting these connections.
Your day-to-day role will involve encouraging his independence while offering light personal care, such as prompting after a bath, assisting with creams and inhalers, and preparing meals. Shifts run on a rota basis, typically from 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM, with sleep‑ins required, including alternate weekends and bank holidays. A full UK/EU driving licence and access to a car is preferred, though not essential.
If you’re ready to bring festive cheer and make a real difference, apply between now and Christmas week to start the new year with a career that truly matters.
