Reporting directly to the Head of Housing Finance, the role includes setting rent policy and coordinating service charges, working with the asset management team to achieve value for money for customers. You will also own compliance with the rent standard and lead process optimisation for the rent and service charge functions. Ensuring that financial information is produced timely and accurately on a monthly basis.
Interviews will take place via Microsoft Teams on the 6th August.
About the role
Your main duties will include:
- Maintaining policies and procedures for rent and service charge setting.
- Reviewing service charge levels regularly to ensure value for money, and supporting the budget and forecast process for service charges, including new and existing properties.
- Leading on setting rents for Social Housing Tenants, ensuring full compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing.
- Leading the annual uplifts process for rents and service charges.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- Must be a qualified Accountant – ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
- Experience in setting rents and service charges in a Social Housing provider.
- Analytical skills that go beyond traditional finance functions.
- A good understanding of income streams and budget construction for Social Housing.
