Relief / Bank Support Worker
- Edgware, Northwest London
At Dimensions, we\’re looking for Relief (Bank) Support Workers to join our team in Edgware. Whether you\’re building a long-term career in care or looking for a rewarding role that fits around other commitments, this is a chance to make a real difference—on your terms.
Why Join Dimensions?
As one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit providers for people with learning disabilities and autism, Dimensions is proud to be a values-led employer. We’ve been recognised as a Great Place to Work year after year and are committed to creating inclusive, empowering environments for both the people we support and the colleagues who support them.
When you join us as a Relief Support Worker, you’re not just picking up shifts, you’re becoming part of a dedicated, welcoming team that values ambition, courage, integrity, and respect.
About the Role
You\’ll be working flexibly in one of our supported living homes in Edgware, supporting three gentlemen under the age of 40.
This is an active, fast-paced home where the people we support lead full, exciting lives. From horse riding and sailing to music events, swimming, train rides, day trips to fairs, you’ll be helping to make these events possible. No two days are the same, and every shift brings new opportunities to promote independence.
Support includes all aspects of personal care, as well as mobility assistance using wheelchairs and hoists. All meals are prepared fresh by staff following SALT guidelines, so confidence in basic cooking is important.
Communication styles vary, one person uses limited words and some Makaton, while the other two do not use words to communicate so patience, observation, and creativity in communication are key.
Shifts typically run from 8:00am to 10:00pm, mostly long days to accommodate activities, though flexibility is offered.
Why Relief Work with Dimensions?
