We are seeking a Cloud Platform & Identity Engineer to support and develop our Microsoft Azure and Entra ID environment as we transition to a secure, cloud-first operating model.

A key priority for this role is our upcoming migration from a hybrid Active Directory / Entra ID model to a fully cloud-managed Entra ID architecture.

You will act as the internal technical lead for this transition, working closely with an experienced third-party delivery partner who will provide specialist design and implementation support.

Following migration, you will retain operational ownership of the platform.

The role combines identity and access management with Azure platform support.

Entra ID, Conditional Access, and privileged access management are central, alongside operational responsibility for Azure services and governance controls.

We plan to hold interviews via Microsoft teams on the 13th August, however, this may be subject to change depending on application volumes, and first-stage interviews may be conducted earlier if required.

This vacancy may close earlier than advertised if application levels are high.

We will require proof of Relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience in the relevant technology discipline. qualification if you successfully secure a role.

About the role Your main duties will include: Lead the organisation's transition from hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID to a fully cloud-managed identity architecture, providing technical ownership throughout planning, implementation, testing, and operational handover.

Implement and maintain Azure governance controls including Policy, RBAC, management groups, subscription standards, tagging, and cost governance.

Support Azure infrastructure and platform services including virtual machines, storage, networking, backup, monitoring, and identity-integrated cloud services.

Support identity, networking, and governance controls required for Microsoft Fabric and associated Azure data services.

About you The successful applicant will have: Possess hands-on experience administering Entra ID (Azure AD) Experience administering Entra ID Governance features including Access Reviews, Lifecycle Workflows, and Privileged Identity Management.

Possess a good understanding of cloud governance and cost management (Fin Ops).

Ability to apply Zero Trust concepts to identity, access, and cloud security practices.
