About the role Female Support Workerx2 Part time - 30 Hour per week contracts available Stanway, Colchester (CO3)A full UK driving licence is essential (manual essential).
We are looking for a Female Support Worker to join our supported living home in Stanway, Colchester, where you will support two women and one man to live independent and fulfilling lives.
You might spend one day baking in the kitchen, getting creative with arts and crafts, or heading out for a swim, and the next enjoying a trip to the cinema, a game of bowling, or even a dance class.
You will play an active role in planning and supporting these interests, helping to turn everyday moments into enjoyable experiences.
Each person you support has their own goals and routines, and you will be a big part of helping them achieve these.
One person is attending college and working towards future employment, another already has a job and needs support with their working routine, while the third enjoys regular visits to a local community centre.
Alongside the social side of the role, you will also provide practical day-to-day support.
This includes assisting with personal care for the two women, supporting mobility, administering medication, and helping to keep the home running smoothly through cooking, shopping, and planning meals.
Communication is also key, as one person uses Makaton, and you will follow guidance from Speech and Language Therapy plans to ensure safe and effective support, full training will be provided to help you feel confident in this area.
Patience, clear communication, and flexibility are essential, along with a full UK driving licence.
