Overview
- Assistant Locality Manager
- Edgware, Northwest London
- Full time – 37.5 hours /(3 days off-rota)
- £34,947.80 per annum
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Locality Manager to join our supported living home in Northwest London. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is deeply committed to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism through the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). You will be joining a well-established team that is proud of the work they do and the impact they make every day.
At Dimensions, we believe that PBS is not just a framework, it’s a way of life. It’s about understanding the reasons behind someone’s behaviour and supporting them to develop new skills in their own environment. It’s about enhancing quality of life, not restricting it. As Assistant Locality Manager, you will be instrumental in embedding PBS across our home, leading the development and implementation of person-centred strategies that truly reflect the needs and aspirations of the people we support.
You will work closely with individuals, their families, and a range of professionals to ensure that support plans are effective and consistently delivered. Your role will include conducting behavioural assessments, coaching, and mentoring support staff, and monitoring the commitment of PBS plans. You’ll be a key figure in responding to crises with compassion and professionalism, always seeking to understand and de-escalate rather than control. Your leadership will help shape a culture where people feel safe, valued, and empowered.
This is a demanding and dynamic role, and no two days will be the same. You’ll be joining a team of CQC Registered Managers and work collaboratively to achieve excellence across our homes. We know how challenging this role can be, which is why we’ve built a strong network of support around it. From specialists in PBS, health, and person-centred planning, to experts in compliance, HR, and learning and development, you’ll have access to a wealth of resources to help you succeed.
This role is primarily focused on managing the support of one person we support. While the core responsibility is to lead and work closely with this individual, there may be occasions where you’ll be asked to support the locality manager across other locations.
Dimensions is one of the UK’s largest providers of support for people with learning disabilities and autism. We’re proud to have been recognised as a Great Place to Work and we’re committed to nurturing talent at every level. Our award-winning development programmes have helped many of our leaders grow from frontline roles into senior positions including our current Managing Director, who began her journey as a relief support worker.
The total annual pay for the role is currently £34,947.80 made up of a basic salary of £31,770.73 plus an additional 10% annual allowance for 3 days off rota hours of £3,177.07.

- Pension scheme
- Qualification scheme
- Discounted health and dental cover
