About the Role
You will support two women in their 60s who have learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy, providing personal care and engaging them in a range of activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist and care for two individuals who communicate non‑verbally, ensuring consistency and understanding.
- Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration and support healthy routines.
- Encourage activity, choice and wellbeing, including re‑introducing activities such as swimming.
- Plan and participate in outings such as shopping trips, pub meals, bowling and other recreational activities.
- Manage shift patterns covering early and late times with alternating weekends.
Qualifications
- Outgoing, engaging and radiating positive energy.
- Encouraging independence, choice and healthy living.
- Comfortable supporting personal care and manual handling.
- Confident in the kitchen with ability to prepare meals.
- Patient and emotionally aware, especially on more sensitive days.
- Full UK driving licence (automatic vehicle).
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or epilepsy is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
