About the Role

You will support two women in their 60s who have learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy, providing personal care and engaging them in a range of activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and care for two individuals who communicate non‑verbally, ensuring consistency and understanding.
  • Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration and support healthy routines.
  • Encourage activity, choice and wellbeing, including re‑introducing activities such as swimming.
  • Plan and participate in outings such as shopping trips, pub meals, bowling and other recreational activities.
  • Manage shift patterns covering early and late times with alternating weekends.

Qualifications

  • Outgoing, engaging and radiating positive energy.
  • Encouraging independence, choice and healthy living.
  • Comfortable supporting personal care and manual handling.
  • Confident in the kitchen with ability to prepare meals.
  • Patient and emotionally aware, especially on more sensitive days.
  • Full UK driving licence (automatic vehicle).
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or epilepsy is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
