Who You’d Be Supporting

One of the amazing young men we support in Hemel Hempstead is looking for a new person to join his team. He lives independently in his own home, and he’s looking for a support worker who can encourage him, share his interests, and help him stay on track with daily routines such as taking vitamins or checking his medication.

He’s into:

  • Running with his local club (he regularly smashes 5Ks).
  • Woodwork in his own shed - making bird boxes and candles for craft fairs.
  • Cooking - especially live cook-along.
  • Long walks with his dog.
  • Quality time with his family (his mum is a big part of his life).

You’ll work shifts (9 am–5 pm) and/or evening + sleep-in shifts (5 pm–10 pm + sleep-in until 9 am). No support needed 9 am–5 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. Every other weekend off. If you do a sleep-in, you’ll stay until he heads to work (usually 8–9 am). You’ll need your own car and be happy to use it during work (we’ll cover mileage). If you love running or being active, that’s a huge bonus; he’d love to share that with you.
