We're looking for calm, confident and engaging Support Workers to join our team in Marlborough (SN8), supporting four gentlemen in their 40s‑60s with Down's Syndrome and learning disabilities. This is a lively, sociable home filled with humour, personality and routine – often described as a real 'lads' house. You'll play a key role in supporting each person to live independently, build confidence and enjoy the things that matter most to them. Using a person‑centred approach, you'll adapt your support to suit each individual, helping them maintain their routines while encouraging independence and positive outcomes.

Who you will be supporting

  • Each gentleman has their own personality, interests and level of independence.
  • You'll support individuals who:
    • Attend day services regularly
    • Enjoy hobbies such as trains and exploring interests
    • Are building independence with budgeting and daily tasks
    • Love bowling, shopping, social clubs and shared activities
    • Thrive in a fun, sociable environment

What you will be doing

  • Providing personal care with dignity and respect
  • Supporting daily routines and independence
  • Preparing meals and supporting household tasks
  • Administering medication safely (training provided)
  • Supporting activities, outings and social engagement
  • Using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches
  • Responding calmly to behaviours of distress
  • Building strong relationships with individuals and families

Working Hours

  • 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Long day + sleep‑in: 9:00 am – 9:00 am (next day)
  • Evening + sleep‑in: 5:00 pm – 9:00 am (next day)
  • Sleep‑in: 10:00 pm – 7:00 am (£50 paid to sleep)
