Overview

Support Worker - Part-Time (22 Hours). Shifts: 1 long day (8am-9pm) + 1 waking night (9pm-8am) per week, plus shorter 1:1 shifts.

Location: Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11

You will be supporting four gentlemen aged late 40s to 60s in their home and out in their local town. Support needs vary from person to person: two gentlemen require full personal care, while the other gentlemen need verbal prompts and reassurance. One gentleman uses a wheelchair outside the home, and you will complete safe manual handling using hoists and mobility equipment where needed.

Your week will include one long day shift, one waking night, and occasional shorter 1:1 shifts focused on person-centred support. This role includes lone working at times, both on nights and during individual daytime support, while also being part of a caring and collaborative team.

The gentlemen you will support enjoy a wide range of hobbies, including eating out, gardening, bird watching, trips to familiar places, watching aeroplanes and jets, cinema outings, go-karting, walks, ice creams and exploring anything that gets them out and about. You will support with meal prep and cooking, helping each person build independence and confidence.

Requirements and training

Experience isn’t required; your values are what matter most. If you are patient, kind, reliable and passionate about supporting people to live full, meaningful lives, we will train you in everything you need to know. You will be comfortable with personal care, lone working and following detailed support plans. Creativity is essential: you will plan and deliver interests that help each person grow their independence, confidence, and community presence. A full UK manual driving licence is required. Having your own car with business insurance is a bonus, but not essential.
