We are looking for Support Workers who are drivers to join our team in Houghton Regis, working across several supported living homes within the locality. This is a role that supports people across different homes, providing consistency, flexibility, and continuity where it is needed most. As a Support Worker, your role is far more than providing care: you will work alongside people with learning disabilities to support them live the life they choose, help them develop daily living skills, support activities they enjoy, encourage independence and enable them to be part of their local community. You’ll build positive relationships, recognise each person’s strengths, and celebrate what people can do for themselves. You’re guided by Dimensions’ Activate model, which focuses on supporting people to achieve meaningful outcomes across all areas of life.
No two days will be the same, and you’ll be supported with full training and supervision to grow in confidence and capability in the role. This role involves working day shifts only, with shifts typically lasting 7.5 hours or 14.5 hours. There is no waking night requirement, though there will be sleep‑ins, and you will be expected to work every other weekend. Driving is essential for this role. You do not need your own car, as we provide mobility vehicles, but you must be confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
