You will join an established, welcoming team in Llanmorlais, Swansea, supporting two gentlemen, M and P, in living full and meaningful lives in their home near the Loughor estuary. The setting encourages an active and balanced lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with M and P, recognizing their personalities, interests, and support needs.
- Provide patient, thoughtful support to process information and gentle encouragement for healthy living.
- Facilitate communication, including speech, signs, and gestures.
- Work closely with families, colleagues, and external professionals to ensure consistent, respectful, and person‑centred support.
- Apply empathy, resilience, and a positive approach to create a calm, supportive environment where M and P feel safe, understood, and valued.
- Help manage and support independent living while ensuring safety.
- Use Positive Behaviour Support principles and be willing to receive further training in Positive Behaviour Management.
- Bring kindness, positivity, and respect to every interaction, fostering a supportive and happy home.
Qualifications & Skills
- Compassion, dependability, and motivation to make a positive difference.
- Experience in social care is helpful but not required.
