Many of our senior operational managers began their careers in Assistant Locality Manager roles, supported to grow through our Aspire programme and Dimensions Academy., We are looking for a passionate and values driven Assistant Locality Manager to work closely with the Locality Manager to provide leadership, oversight, and operational management across four supported living homes across Brent, Edgware, and New Southgate, supporting up to 19 people when at full capacity.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established locality with experienced staff teams, long-standing support arrangements, and homes that have achieved a Good CQC rating.
This role offers a balance of operational leadership and frontline support, with four days each week dedicated to off-rota management responsibilities and approximately one shift per week worked within the homes.
Your management time will typically be based within one of the homes across the locality, allowing you to remain connected to the teams and the quality of support being delivered.
- Operational leadership and service oversight.

You will also deputise for the Locality Manager during periods of absence, supporting operational decision making and ensuring the locality continues to deliver outstanding support.
While management hours are generally worked during office hours, you will need to be flexible enough to undertake occasional early morning, evenings or weekends for observations, medication audits, quality monitoring and to provide visible leadership to teams working across different shift patterns.
We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are already working as an assistant manager or deputy manager with experience supporting people with learning disabilities and autism would be highly beneficial, but we're also keen to hear from candidates with leadership experience in supported living, residential care, domiciliary care and complex care services.
- Experience in leading or supervising support teams.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards.
- Experience conducting audits, observations, or compliance checks.
- Confidence managing rotas and service administration.
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate, coach and develop colleagues.
- Good digital skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Share Point.
- Experience using systems such as i Planit, Radar or similar care management platforms.

The total annual pay for the role is currently £36,560.39 made up of a basic salary of £32,498.12 plus an additional 12.5% annual allowance for 30 off rota hours of £4,062.27.
