Responsibilities:
- Support to maintain independence within his home, in his local community, and be involved in all aspects of hobbies, interests and help achieve any goals he has.
- Provide 2-to-1 support to a gentleman.
- Prompting with personal care and administering medication.
- Support him emotionally during moments of distress.
Long day shifts: 8:00 am to 10:30 pm, sleep in and handover at 8:00 am.
Requirements:
- Female relief support workers only - gender considered a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
- Preference for candidates with experience working with individuals with autism or positive behaviour support.
- Empathetic, patient and enthusiastic.
- Disability confident - charged to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.
