Responsibilities
- Provide full support with daily routines and nighttime support as required.
- Assist with moving and physical support of the gentleman.
- Support PEG feeding and medication administration with full training provided.
- Drive the gentleman’s car to facilitate access to the local community and support social activities.
- Engage with the gentleman by recognising non‑verbal communication, using eye contact, smiles and visual choices.
- Work as part of a team, adapting to changing needs and ensuring the gentleman is comfortable and engaged.
- Support the gentleman during drives, trips and community outings.
- Maintain a trusting, person‑centred relationship and provide meaningful engagement.
Qualifications
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Experience or desire to support people with complex needs, especially those with learning disabilities and cerebral palsy.
- Strong compassionate, patient and attentive approach.
- Ability to decode non‑verbal communication and respond to visual cues.
