Due to ongoing development, my client is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for focusing on project management across a wide range of large and complex projects in a client-facing role. These will span across the Pensions Administration and Consulting remit, including implementations, benefit changes, Pensions Dashboard, GMP and de-risking and will involve responsibilities not limited to:
- The end-to-end management of complex projects ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, delivering client and business outcomes to a high level of client satisfaction.
- Building client, third party and internal stakeholder relationships on the projects to become a trusted adviser to support the decision-making requirements during the project lifecycle.
- Providing advice and guidance in the management of complex pensions initiatives.
- Understanding the client specific needs and strategic journeys and delivering project outcomes that support those needs.
- Leading enhanced collaboration between multiple service lines and multiple providers as well as defining project roles and responsibilities across the business and third parties.
- Controlling project scopes, and having a deep understanding of the impact of scope changes and adjusting project plans and communication accordingly utilising the agreed change management processes.
- Reviewing significant project proposals of high complexity and ambiguous parameters with high visibility and identifiable risk to the business, validating all project requirements, providing recommended changes to the proposal, as appropriate.
- Cross-departmental resource management, negotiating resource requirements, and managing internal and conflicting priorities. Supporting project delivery leads in resource supply and demand management.
Whilst the client is seeking someone with experience in the pensions industry (it doesn't need to be your whole career), it is essential that you possess client-facing project management experience and your pensions knowledge should include a deep working knowledge of DB, DC and insured pension schemes. Additionally, you will be someone with excellent relationship building and communication skills together with a structured and organised approach, working effectively across multiple deadlines, a strong business acumen with existing client-facing experience and a willingness to learn new skills and be adaptable to a changing environment.
