About Dimensions

At Dimensions, we support adults with learning disabilities and autism to live great lives. As one of the country’s largest not-for-profit organisations, we are driven by our values. Everything we do places the people we support at the heart of their support ensuring they have choice, control, and opportunities to thrive.

We are proud to be an inclusive employer, and our colleagues benefit from award-winning training, career development programmes, wellbeing support, and a fantastic range of rewards. When you join Dimensions, you join a team that genuinely cares and works in partnership to make a real difference every day.

Are you someone who enjoys being active, having fun and making a real difference?

We’re looking for enthusiastic, positive Support Workers to join our team in Kenton, supporting four incredible people in their own supported living bungalows.

You’ll be supporting three gentlemen and one lady with learning disabilities and autism to live independently and enjoy life on their terms.

This is a lively, engaging environment with people who love to stay active, social and involved.

Their interests include:

  • Thrill-seeking days out – think fairgrounds and fun activities
  • Video games and entertainment
  • Shopping trips
  • Getting creative with arts and crafts
  • Bike rides and being outdoors
  • Watching drama and crime series (Police Interceptors is a favourite!)
  • Music, dancing and enjoying the moment
  • Spending quality time with family and friends?

No two days are the same, and your role will be all about helping them enjoy the things they love.

You will also need to provide emotional reassurance when experiencing behaviours of distress – full positive behaviour support training is provided but previous experience is essential.

Your role will include:

Supporting daily routines and independence
Helping with personal care (varying levels)
Administering and supporting with medication
Supporting food shopping and meal preparation
Helping with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
Encouraging participation in activities, hobbies and community life
Providing calm reassurance during behaviours of distress, following Positive Behaviour Support plans

You’ll be someone who can bring energy, patience and consistency, while also knowing how to stay calm and supportive when it matters most.

Shifts:

Day shifts are typically 8am – 10pm
Waking nights are typically 10pm – 8am
We’re looking for people with flexibility to work on a rota basis that includes a combination of shifts, weekdays and weekends
Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance - something we're very passionate about!

Applications will be shortlisted on receipt and interviews will be held until the posts are filled

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Fun, active and enjoy getting involved
  • Patient, reliable and emotionally resilient
  • Confident supporting behaviours of distress (experience preferred)
  • Great at building genuine relationships
  • Team players who can adapt to different personalities and routines

Rewards that make a difference

  • A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays – pro rata)
  • Opportunities for career progression
  • High Street Discounts – Retail and Entertainment (supermarkets, hospitality, pubs, cinema etc.)
  • Life Assurance and Company Pension
  • Industry leading training
  • Enhanced DBS paid for by us
