Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly management reporting and board reporting
  • Perform month-end close including journal preparation and posting
  • Perform the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss variance analysis
  • Identify and proactively resolve issues within the general ledger
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors for domestic and foreign audits as necessary
  • Keep abreast of current and upcoming changes in UK/Irish GAAP
  • Support development of new reports using relevant data sources to inform the business
  • Prepare financial regulatory data for the EMEA region
  • Prepare tax data for the EMEA region
  • Support other general accounting projects, month-end close work and ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in an accounting position within the asset/wealth management industry
  • Qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle EBS or another comparable enterprise accounting software suite (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy, precision, and ownership in work
  • Proven prioritization, time-management, and where applicable, project-management skills
  • Self-motivated, outcome-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Positive attitude and natural willingness to support the team
  • Intellectually curious about what is going on in the team and business
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority across different departments
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
