The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and patrons.
Purpose of Role
To provide a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, and property by managing entry, monitoring behaviour, and responding to incidents in a professional and customer friendly manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Control entry to the venue, ensuring customers meet age and entry requirements
- Carry out ID checks in line with licensing and venue policy
- Monitor customer behaviour inside and outside the venue to maintain a safe welcoming atmosphere
- De-escalate situations using conflict management techniques
- Respond to incidents, including removing individuals where necessary, in accordance with the law and SIA guidelines
- Liaise with venue management and local authorities (police, licensing officers) as required
- Keep accurate incident and refusal records
- Conduct regular patrols of the venue and have a proactive approach to preventing issues within the venue
- Provide customer assistance, including giving directions to local amenities and or travel
- Ensure fire exits are kept clear and highlighted to the venue
