Summary of the role
We\’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Regulated Reconciliations Analyst (Mutual Funds) to join our finance operations team in Edinburgh. In this critical role, you\’ll ensure the safeguarding of client money in compliance with FCA CASS regulations, while managing reconciliations and financial processes that underpin our mutual funds activity.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Performing daily client money reconciliations, ensuring accuracy between internal records and external statements.
  • Investigating and resolving reconciliation discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Executing manual journal entries and support financial month-end close processes.
  • Preparing CMAR (Client Money and Asset Return) and supporting regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure ledger integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively identify risks, escalating potential CASS 7 breaches as required.
  • Assisting with audits, reporting packs, and tax reconciliation processes, including payments to HMRC.
  • Maintaining compliance with Consumer Duty obligations.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in reconciliations or finance operations, ideally in a regulated environment
  • An understanding of FCA CASS 7 rules (client money) and how they apply to both reconciliation and operations
  • Accountancy qualification or studying towards the qualification, or qualified by experience
  • Any formal qualifications in financial services regulations
  • A Solid grasp of accounting principles and financial controls
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure
