Summary of the role:

As the Finance Relationship Manager, you will be the dedicated finance lead for allocated clients, acting as the main liaison between Operations Finance and client teams. You will provide oversight and support across financial control, reconciliations, and specialist finance services, ensuring excellent service delivery. Working closely with Senior Finance Relationship Manager, you will also coordinate governance and communication activities within Finance Operations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the Finance Relationship for allocated clients, delivering a first-class service including regular Finance Relationship Meetings and strategic improvement plans.
  • Act as Senior Finance SME for allocated clients, understanding their set-up, culture and change horizons.
  • Coordinate Finance Operations activities to ensure the highest level of customer service and monitor Finance SLAs and incidents.
  • Own Finance Operations issues for clients, ensuring escalation, communication, and resolution.
  • Attend key meetings as Senior Finance Representative, ensuring Finance is appropriately represented.
  • Review and provide insightful commentary on Finance Operations Packs for clients.
  • Ensure Finance SLAs and commercial terms are fit for purpose and support accurate forecasting and response to change.
  • Prepare and lead meetings, workshops and presentations demonstrating strong communication and influencing skills.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified accountant with extensive finance experience in Financial Services (10+ years).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills and strong communication skills, confident at senior levels.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to plan workloads and delegate tasks effectively.
  • A systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services processes, regulations, and Finance & Accounting principles for the UK and Ireland.
  • Experience supporting transformation or change programmes within finance workstreams.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word; knowledge of SQL and Macros is desirable.
