ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Partner Renewal Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and growing the renewal book of business across Diligent's channel and strategic partner ecosystem. You will work closely with partners to drive retention, identify expansion opportunities, and ensure a seamless renewal experience. This is a commercially focused role requiring strong relationship management skills, analytical rigour, and a deep understanding of SaaS renewal motions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and manage the endâtoâend renewal process for a portfolio of channel and strategic partners, ensuring onâtime renewal and minimising churn.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partner account managers and decisionâmakers to understand their business needs and renewal priorities.
- Track and forecast renewal pipelines accurately, providing regular updates to leadership on renewal health and risk.
- Identify atârisk renewals early and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with Partner Success and Sales teams.
- Negotiate renewal terms, including multiâyear agreements, price uplifts, and contract amendments in line with company policy.
- Collaborate crossâfunctionally with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Partner Operations to resolve renewal blockers and streamline processes.
- Analyse partner usage data and engagement signals to inform renewal conversations and identify upsell and expansion opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of all renewal activities, outcomes, and forecasts in Salesforce CRM.
- Contribute to the development of partner renewal playbooks, processes, and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3â5 years of experience in partner renewals, channel sales, or a similar SaaS renewal or account management role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding renewal targets and managing complex renewal negotiations.
- Strong understanding of channel and partner business models, including resellers, distributors, and strategic alliances.
- Experience using Salesforce.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels of a partner organisation.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a large book of business across multiple partner segments simultaneously.
