Help deliver high-quality product experiences through smart testing, strong automation, and close collaboration with engineers and product teams. This is a hands‑on QA role for someone who enjoys finding issues early, improving release confidence, and building practical test coverage that supports fast, reliable delivery. You'll work across manual and automated testing for modern SaaS applications, with a strong focus on web quality, regression coverage, and release readiness. You'll be part of a collaborative product engineering team where you can shape how quality is built into the development lifecycle, strengthen Cypress automation, and help teams ship with confidence.

Here's a breakdown of what you'll do, not all of it, just the important stuff:

  • Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and document manual end‑to‑end testing for new features, regressions, integration flows, and end‑to‑end user journeys.
  • Build, maintain, and improve automated test coverage using Cypress, with an emphasis on stable and maintainable tests.
  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and catch quality risks early.
  • Investigate defects thoroughly, write clear bug reports, support triage, and help teams understand root causes and impact.
  • Support release validation and production quality by testing critical paths, reviewing results, and improving regression confidence over time.
  • Use AI tools to speed up planning, testing, and documentation, while checking outputs carefully and applying sound judgment.
  • Contribute to better QA practices, tooling, and ways of working that improve product quality without slowing delivery.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional QA experience in a cloud‑based product or SaaS environment, covering both manual and automated testing.
  • Hands‑on experience writing and maintaining automated tests with Cypress.
  • Strong understanding of test planning, test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing, and defect reporting.
  • Experience testing modern web applications, complex cloud‑based micro‑service architecture, and user workflows, with a sharp eye for detail and usability.
  • Comfort working with developers, logs, browser developer tools, bug‑tracking tools, and version‑controlled environments.
  • Clear communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the judgment to balance speed, risk, and quality in day‑to‑day delivery.
  • Ability to work independently, manage test execution effectively, and contribute positively in agile ceremonies and release discussions.
  • Experience with API testing, SQL, or test data validation.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into delivery workflows.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with AWS environments.
  • Exposure to observability tooling, incident response, or production monitoring practices.
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted testing or productivity tools, used thoughtfully and responsibly.

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned.
