We are seeking a Senior Web Engineer to own and improve the technical foundation of our marketing web platform while building high-quality web experiences that support our brand, marketing, conversion, and business objectives. This role will lead development of responsive, scalable pages, templates, components, and CMS-driven experiences across Diligent’s digital properties, translating business, design, content, and marketing requirements into maintainable technical solutions. The Senior Web Engineer will partner closely with design, content, marketing, operations, and agency partners to deliver reliable user experiences, improve site performance, support sales-led and self-serve conversion journeys, and reduce technical debt. They will set and uphold development standards across performance, accessibility, technical SEO, analytics/tagging implementation, QA/release quality, CMS architecture, and code quality while helping build a more maintainable, scalable, and internally owned web development model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of complex website features, templates, reusable components, and CMS-driven experiences across Diligent’s marketing and corporate web properties.
  • Translate design, content, campaign, and business requirements into responsive, scalable, accessible, and production-ready web experiences.
  • Partner with design, content, marketing, operations, and external partners to scope, build, test, launch, and monitor new pages, components, and site enhancements.
  • Help maintain and evolve CMS architecture, including content models, page types, reusable components, and implementation patterns that allow marketing and content teams to move efficiently without creating unnecessary technical debt.
  • Drive improvements in site performance, accessibility, technical SEO, analytics/tagging quality, and conversion-focused web experiences by identifying root causes, resolving issues, and preventing recurring defects.
  • Support technical implementation for marketing measurement and experimentation, including form tracking, analytics events, A/B testing support, and GTM/CRM handoff requirements.
  • Review technical work and create reusable standards, documentation, and implementation guidance to improve speed, quality, maintainability, and internal self-sufficiency.

Required Experience/Skills

  • 7+ years of web development experience, with significant experience supporting marketing websites, corporate websites, campaign pages, and CMS-driven digital experiences.
  • Experience supporting B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or other complex marketing websites where the website directly supports demand generation, sales-led conversion, self-serve journeys, or pipeline creation.
  • Experience with modern web stacks such as React, Next.js, Sanity, Contentful, Vercel, Netlify, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to clarify ambiguous requirements and translate design, content, campaign, and marketing needs into high-quality web experiences, partnering effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Familiarity with analytics and marketing technology implementation, including GA4, form tracking, A/B testing tools, or marketing automation/CRM handoffs.
  • Strong understanding of site performance optimization, technical troubleshooting, debugging, and reusable code standards, with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and long-term platform health.
  • Experience working with external agencies or contractors, including technical review, QA, acceptance criteria, and delivery oversight.
  • Experience mentoring developers, reviewing code, setting standards, and improving development workflows, with strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and ownership.
  • Working knowledge of localization, multilingual websites, multi-site governance, or global web operations.
