You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating Ethics & Compliance and broader GRC challenges into clear, compelling solutions that drive real business value. This role is ideal for someone who brings both strong commercial instincts and real practitioner experience in Ethics & Compliance program management, with hands‑on exposure to policy, conflicts of interest, speak‑up, and third‑party risk and due diligence.
If you enjoy combining domain expertise, storytelling, solution design, and customer interaction, and want to move beyond traditional internal compliance roles into a commercial, customer‑facing environment, this is a strong next step.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer & Commercial Partnership
- Partner closely with Sales to support the full pre‑sales lifecycle, helping customers understand how Diligent solves real‑world Ethics & Compliance challenges.
- Deliver tailored, high‑impact software demonstrations that clearly articulate business value and operational outcomes – not just product features.
- Engage confidently with senior leaders across Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Governance, Risk & Audit teams.
- Translate customer pain points into clear solution narratives, including quantified outcomes and success criteria, that support deal progression and closure.
- Own the technical win in partnership with Sales, including managing evaluations, sandbox environments, and stakeholder questions.
- Act as a strategic advisor on how organizations can strengthen and modernise Ethics & Compliance programs using Diligent.
- Solution Design & Thought Leadership
- Design and present solution architectures that align with customer objectives and regulatory environments.
- Articulate the cross‑platform value of the Diligent One Platform and how it supports integrated Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) programs.
- Collaborate with Product teams to provide customer and domain feedback on product enhancements.
- Lead structured discovery to map requirements to Diligent solutions, define POC/sandbox success criteria, and ensure proposed solutions are implementation‑ready.
- Support marketing initiatives such as webinars, industry events and thought‑leadership content.
- Mentor peers by sharing best practices, reusable demo stories, and solution patterns that improve team performance.
- Domain Expertise
- Apply practical compliance and governance expertise in customer discussions to frame challenges and guide solution design.
- Leverage familiarity with key regulatory and industry frameworks such as GDPR/CCPA, DOJ ECCP, FCPA, ISO, EU Directives (Whistleblower, AI, etc.), ABAC/AML, LkSG, as well as other relevant industry regulations.
- Hands‑on experience in one or more core compliance functions, including Ethics & Compliance Program Management, Policy Management, Awareness Training, Third‑Party Risk Management, Whistleblowing/Internal Investigations and Disclosures/Conflicts of Interest.
- Technical & Integration Fluency
- Develop a strong working understanding of the Diligent platform, including core workflows, configuration options, reporting, and integrations.
- Confidently whiteboard solution flows, data movements, and high‑level architectures with both business and technical audiences.
- Translate technical concepts into accessible business language for executive stakeholders while also engaging credibly with operational and technical teams.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Ethics & Compliance, GRC or Legal (Corporate Compliance), either in a customer‑facing role or within industry.
- Demonstrated experience operating within or advising Ethics & Compliance programs, with strong understanding of how compliance teams manage risk, policies, training, third parties, investigations, disclosures, and oversight responsibilities.
- Experience working with SaaS solutions, or strong interest in transitioning into a commercial, customer‑facing environment.
- Strong executive‑level presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Comfortable partnering with Sales and contributing to commercial outcomes.
- Curious, self‑driven, and motivated to continuously deepen both technical and domain knowledge.
What Success Looks Like in Your First 12 Months:
- You are a go‑to partner for Sales, independently leading discovery, demos, and solution strategy on complex, multi‑stakeholder opportunities.
- You are recognized as a credible domain expert in Ethics & Compliance, able to engage confidently with compliance leaders and practitioners.
- You consistently win the technical decision, guiding customers through evaluations and proof‑of‑concepts with clear success criteria and outcomes.
- You create reusable demo assets, narratives, and solution patterns that raise the bar for the wider Solutions Engineering team.
- You are recognized by Product and Sales as a trusted voice of the customer for Ethics & Compliance and GRC use cases.
- You demonstrate clear impact on revenue through influenced pipeline, win rate, and expansion / cross‑sell opportunities in your focus area.
