Dilara Findikoglu is an independent fashion label known for its avant‑garde, couture-inspired designs and strong narrative approach to clothing. Based in the London Area, United Kingdom, the brand blends traditional craftsmanship with experimental silhouettes, textiles, and construction techniques. Collections often draw from historical references, subcultural aesthetics, and theatrical styling, creating highly detailed and concept-driven garments.
This is a unique opportunity to work on the Made-to-Order and Couture commissions for Dilara Findikoglu. As part of our creative team, you will play a critical role in developing, finalising, and ensuring the accuracy of patterns, first toiles and final pieces for private clients, including bridal and VIP requests.
You will be expected to work closely with the designer, studio team, and private clients ensuring that all commissions meet the specified design intent, fit, and finishing requirements.
A keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be vital in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the designer and studio team to create, develop, and amend patterns from initial design sketches, reference samples, or archival blocks.
- Update technical packs with essential information such as size charts, trim sheets, fusing details, and other relevant specifications.
- Participate in fittings, providing valuable insights and support in adjusting patterns for the desired fit and silhouette.
- Maintain an organised and efficient workflow, adhering to production and ensuring timely completion of tasks to meet project deadlines.
Key Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pattern Cutter, Machinist, Atelier Manager within a high-end bridal or luxury bespoke fashion environment.
- Skilled machinist – ability to make up toiles and at least to final sample stage if not to finished piece.
- Proficiency in draping is essential.
- Strong understanding of fit and body proportion, with the ability to adapt patterns to diverse body types.
- Knowledge of corsetry and experience with boning techniques is highly advantageous.
- Expertise in tailoring, gowns, and Haute Couture
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing schedules and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative studio environment.
- Attention to detail, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
