About DigX
DigX is a specialist digital transformation consultancy delivering complex engineering, data, cloud, and automation solutions for organisations that need to modernise at pace. We partner with major enterprises, including FTSE 100 firms, to turn technology into a catalyst for growth, resilience, and innovation.
We are growing fast, and we’re now looking for a Data Business Analyst to join our high‑performing consulting practice.
If you’ve worked across pension products, legacy data, platform migrations, and regulated delivery, and you know how to structure, map, and translate complex data requirements into something engineers can actually build... this role is for you.
We have a satellite office in London and are headquartered in the North Midlands. Due to the nature of our work, we operate a remote first / hybrid policy, with occasional travel to both client and DigX offices.
The Opportunity
As a Data Business Analyst at DigX, you’ll play a key role in supporting large‑scale Life & Pensions transformation programmes, with a particular focus on data flows, migration, and platform integration. You’ll work closely with senior consultants, architects, engineers, and client stakeholders to bring clarity and structure to complex data landscapes. You will break down requirements, define data mappings, and help ensure that delivery teams can confidently build, validate, and deploy solutions in regulated environments. This is an applied role that combines analytical thinking, data understanding, and technical translation – giving you the opportunity to deepen your consulting capability and take ownership of increasingly complex workstreams over time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting workshops and data‑focused discovery and analysis activities
- Gathering, documenting, and refining data requirements and data flows
- Translating business needs into clear, structured requirements for developers and data engineers
- Contributing to migration approach, data strategy, and delivery planning
- Helping define outcomes, KPIs, and success measures for data migrations and transformations
- Supporting data mapping, transformation logic, validation, and reconciliation activities
- Documenting source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and transformation rules
- Supporting integration activities between legacy systems and target platforms
- Identifying data risks, gaps, and dependencies, with clear escalation where needed
- Producing clear, accurate documentation to support delivery and assurance
- Contributing to reusable assets, frameworks, and data best practices
What You’ll Bring
- Experience working as a Business Analyst or Data Business Analyst within Life & Pensions or similarly regulated environments
- Experience working on data-heavy or migration-led programmes
- Strong understanding of data flows, data mapping, transformation, and validation processes
- Experience breaking down and structuring requirements for engineering or development teams
- Exposure to working across legacy systems, target platforms, and integrations
- Strong attention to detail and structured, logical thinking
- Confidence working with stakeholders across business, data, and technical teams
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn within complex delivery environments
