Role Overview:
We are seeking a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager. We are looking for someone with the passion and determination to go the extra mile to create a home that everyone truly deserves. This includes creating a space brimming with activity, new experiences, and, most importantly, fun and laughter.
You will be fully supported in your new role with a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing development. This role is both rewarding and challenging, requiring strong commitment to our values and the ability to handle difficult situations with resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and adhere to the workplace values of Dignus Group (Resilience, Courage, Integrity, Respect, Confidence and Innovation)
- Manage the service effectively in the absence of the Registered Manager
- Take responsibility for planning shifts and ensuring the smooth running of the service
- Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the People we Support
- Provide managerial control and direction in relation to staff duties and responsibilities
- Assist the Registered Manager with the recruitment and retention of staff team
- Lead the team to deliver high quality of care to the People we Support
- Ensure all risks are safely managed in line with Company policies and procedures
- Review care plans and other associated documentation
- Provide support to the Registered Manager to ensure the completion of day-to-day tasks
- Complete on-call duties on a rota basis
- Undertake responsibility for regular supervisions, addressing performance issues and identifying training and development needs
- Promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each Person we Support
A desire to learn; we provide training and apprenticeships for you to achieve your full potential. Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check at enhanced level. A good standard of written and verbal English is required. Minimum of 1 year experience supporting adults or young people. Minimum Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3. Proven supervisory experience.
